CHAN 2014 - Nigeria vs Ghana: I Respect Keshi's Achievements, But.......
Ghana
Black Stars Coach, Maxwell Konadu, expressed his respect to Super
Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi, but noted that it would not distract him or
his team from their objective.
Coach Konadu made the statement at a pre-match media briefing in Bloemfontein, South Africa, on January 28, 2014, Tuesday.
He
said that Keshi’s intimidating list of achievements would not stop him
and his team from winning Wednesday’s semi-final of the ongoing 2014
African Nations Championship (CHAN).
It would be recalled that the match between the Super Eagles and the Black Stars would kick-off at 7.30 p.m., Nigerian time, at the Bloemfontein Stadium, in the Free State Province.“I quite agree that Keshi is currently the best coach in Africa; but I will want to add that football does not always follow logic.“Sometimes the best coach loses, and we cannot rule that out in tomorrow’s match.“Some of the best coaches who came to this tournament have been sent packing with their teams, because they crashed out earlier than expected.“I respect Keshi and all he has been doing for Nigerian football in recent times.“But talking about tomorrow’s match, you can be a good coach and on a day yourplayers are not playing well, there is nothing you can do,” Coach Konadu said.
