Arsenal won’t go for Suarez again – Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he won’t make a move for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez this summer, Mirror Football reports.
The Gunners failed with two offers for the Uruguayan forward in the summer, the second of which was £40m and £1 in an attempt to trigger a reported release clause.

The cheeky offer led Reds principal owner John W Henry to take to Twitter to ask “What do you think they’re smoking over there at Emirates”.
Suarez has lit up the Premier League in a Liverpool shirt this term and leads the scoring charts with 23 strikes – despite missing the first five games through suspension.
However, when asked if he would be returning for the former Ajax man in the summer, the Frenchman replied, “At the moment no, no.”
Instead, Wenger admitted to having a tinge of “regret” after watching the 26-year-old forward shine for Brendan Rodgers’ side this term.
“You sometimes have regrets when players who played for you score goals or do well somewhere else,” he added.
“But he was never our player, it is a situation that didn’t come off and that is it.”
The Premier League leaders visit the Champions League-chasing Reds on Saturday lunchtime.
A win for Wenger’s side would see them strengthen their grip on top spot to five points ahead of Manchester City’s trip to Norwich City later that day.
Meanwhile, third-placed Chelsea, who are locked on 53 points with City, host Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge.
