Mourinho On Arsenal Humiliation: We Came to Kill and Destroy

The radical Chelsea coach, Jose Mourinho, has declared that Chelsea’s match against Arsenal was over after just seven minutes as his team was “too strong” for Arsene Wenger and his boys to handle.

Wenger was marking his 1000th game in charge at Arsenal but the match descended into a humiliation, with the "old" man, Samuel Eto’o and Andre Schurrle scoring within seven minutes to give Chelsea a 2-0 lead.

Shortly after, Kieran Gibbs was wrongly sent off when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain handled the ball to concede a penalty, but Mourinho believed that had little impact on the outcome of the match, which turned into a 6-0 rout - the biggest victory ever for Chelsea over Arsenal and also Mourinho’s biggest victory as Chelsea manager.

Speaking on how his team humiliated Arsenal, Mourinho said it was “Ten amazing minutes. We came to kill and in ten minutes, we destroyed.”

Earlier, speaking to BT Sport, Mourinho said: “I think we start in an incredible way, in seven minutes 2-0 and the game is over. I think we started very, very strong. The message was to make Arsenal feel uncomfortable, we tried to press immediately and recover and be fast. Two-nil after seven minutes and the game is over because we are too strong for them.
